League of Women Voters Candidate Forum
The Alameda County Council – League of Women Voters (ACC) and the League of Women Voters of Oakland (LWVO) is hosting an in-person Candidate Forum for Oakland City Councilmember At-Large, on Saturday, October 5th, 2024, from 2:15 pm to 3:30 pm at Oakland’s City Hall.
Please note that the League of Women Voters does not endorse candidates, and we will conduct the Forum. This is an opportunity for candidates to discuss their positions and current issues facing the City of Oakland. A League member will moderate, and all candidates for the seat will be invited to participate.
The session will be taped and shown on KTOP, Oakland’s government Cable TV station, as well as uploaded to YouTube and other social media sites.
The hosts are requesting that participants and supporters not wear any campaign badges or other campaign slogans. The intent of these provisions is to preserve the decorum and neutrality of the forum so that attendees, online and TV viewers may focus on the issues.
